The lagoon was too gorgeous for us not to make a another stop at it, in a different light. Overnight, new icebergs had broken off and drifted towards the sea, and some were deposited on the beach.
There was a sense of melancholy to see the icebergs dwindle and melt away, for they had been in existence for centuries if not millennia…
Do you think climate change has something to do with the melting glaciers you experienced? If so — I’d take as many images as you can!

There’s always been melting going on, but apparently the size of the lagoon has been increasing, that might have something to do with global warming. The ones on the beach were washed ashore by the waves, after the icebergs had drifted into the sea.
We took hundreds of photos each, the place was stunning!

It would be interesting to document the changes in the lagoon, especially if you have images from a long time ago.

A time lapse at the lagoon would be incredible. Only if I lived in Iceland!
