Stockholm is one of my favourite cities. The Swedes refer to it as the Capital of Scandinavia, apparently just to annoy their Danish cousins.
Undeniably, this city has enough history, culture and beauty to live up to such a title, perhaps with a bit more to spare.
When we visited Stockholm, it was allegedly having one of its rare sunny spells. This photo depicts the old town, Gamla Stan across the bridge on the left hand side, and the new town on the right, both basking in the warm glow of the setting sun (at 3pm).
What a stunning photo! And I would so love to go there.
Thank you, for you enable me to travel the world without leaving my garden!
Karen.
