The unusual service

The Nordiska Museum presents visitors with various aspects of Swedish living throughout the ages.
Apparently, in the olden days, the aristocracy used to audaciously combine fine dining with taxidermy… The stuffed swan is cleaned up and reused over and over again with any large poultry.

Personally, I thought it was rather charming. The brave Viking descendants danced daringly with Psittacosis and avian flu. Life was so much more of a gamble and adventure back then!

This photo was taken using an 85mm F1.4 manual lens. The massive aperture sounded wonderful in theory, but it was inordinately difficult to obtain sharp focus when wide open. More practice is needed!
