The enchanting Navajo sandstone, carved out by rainwater over millennia, forms the Antelope Canyons. There are two Antelope Canyons, Upper, and Lower, both of which stand in Arizona, a State of many natural wonders, including the world famous Grand Canyon.
These photographs were taken in the Upper canyon, where a single, narrow canyon spans the entire length of the sandstone. The lighting was unique, with the occasional beams of light coming down from the top of the canyon. The Navajo guides helpfully toss handful of sand into mid air to help better visualise these beams.
