Svínafellsjökull in monochrome

My fellow travel/photography blogger, the talented and capable engineer, Ms. Inger of Girl Gone Expat, had invited me to join in this intriguing 5-day photo challenge.
Inger has a delicate yet enthralling way of presenting the natural beauty of North America, I am sure you will love her posts and beautiful photography of North American wildlife.

Here is my entry for Day 1 of the challenge. It is from 2014, and image of Svínafellsjökull, in Southern Iceland. You can visit the original post by clicking here.

As part of the challenge one is supposed to invite a fellow blogger friend each day to join in and take part. Therefore today, I would like to invite Yalakom. This is one of the most interesting blogs that I have come across, it covers a wide range of topics, all of which are very well written. One recent post about the antics of two squirrels in Germany had really captured my imagination, I am certain that you would love it too!

There are only 2 rules to follow by accepting this challenge:

1. On 5 consecutive days, create a post using a recent or past photo in black and white.

2. Each day, invite another blogger friend to join in on the fun.

That’s it!

Hope you enjoy this challenge, and please let me know what you think about the monochrome vs the original photographs!

  1. I am thrilled you wanted to join the challenge! And what an excellent picture to chose for B&W style. I like both of the pictures. The colour version shows how the lush green landscape lives hand in hand with this huge glacier. The picture feels like summer:) The monochrome style gives a more dramatic feel to the landscape and gives more of a reminder that this can be a rough place. Looking forward to the next 4 pictures!
