The East Coast of Taiwan boasts some incredible sceneries. Dramatic mountain ranges grind to a halt, fall abruptly into the ocean.
This photo was taken at a spot just before entering (or after leaving) the Taroko National Park.

Wow. Always wanted to see a black sand beach in person. Very pretty.

We didn’t go down to check, although I suspect it was more dark pebbles from the eroded hillsides rather than fine sand. Saw some proper black sand beaches in Iceland though!

We still keep saying how much we miss Iceland. They sell Iceland water at Duane Reade, our pharmacy. When we want to feel like we are there we buy it to drink.

Same here. There are so few people there it’s easy to feel a personal connection to the island. And the deliciously refreshing icelandic water! So goooood!

Was surprised by how blue the water is in Taiwan. Never really associated any Chinese speaking world with blue oceans, they are mostly grey and polluted 😛
